Distance Sensor

Multiple distance sensors can be used for different purposes. They are commonly used in daily life, industry, medical or military projects. The technology used to measure can be different – e.g., ultrasound, laser – and the range they can sense – e.g., short-distance (4mm-15mm) vs medium-distance (2cm-350cm).
This tutorial will use the Grove – Ultrasonic Ranger manufactured by SeeedStudio, with a range of 2cm-350cm.
Give yourself a pause.
Find the Grove Ultrasonic Ranger in the box of components.
Would you mind opening it and familiarizing yourself with it? Please have a good look at its construction. Identify the front (where the two metal cylinders come out) and the back. The sensor is directional: it senses distance from its front side!
Identify the Grove connector. This connector is where you will have to plug the cable to connect it to the Arduino board.
